For many, just a hobby. If it doesn’t strike you as something you need or want, then maybe it isn’t
Yes, I love it. My router is an x86 mini PC running Open WRT, then I have two routers acting as WAPs also running OpenWRT.
I do, but I have to switch to X11 for work. I log in using VMWare Horizon Client, which technically works on Wayland, except that keyboard shortcuts and keys like Meta are caught by my desktop.
My feelings about it aside, are there any technical benefits to ATproto over ActivityPub?
I ran in to this on Debian on WSL on my work machine. Decided to just build Neovim from source.
Been enjoying my L5 for nearly a year. There are for sure problems but really it works as a phone and as a small Linux PC. I really want Crimson to come though, PostmarketOS and Mobian look very attactive.
Anecdotally, I have been using my L5 for almost a year now and haven’t had complaints of call audio quality once.
I use both Konsole and Kitty and both are excellent.
Arch because why not.
Konsole for regular stuff, kitty for neovim.

Librem 5. I absolutely love it but also recognize it isn’t for everyone, yet.
I used to use Joplin, and its great, but the Electron client isn’t great on Linux mobile, so now I am using GNOME Paper on all devices, synced via Nextcloud. It’s much simpler than Joplin but I need exactly 0 of the missng features.
I wish the Freetube app supported Peertube feeds.
Been using a Librem 5 since May, and am typing this on it now. I love it.
I had an issue running Arch on a Surface Pro 3 a while back where Wifi would drop after some hours - I couldn’t ping or SSH in but the device itself could reach the internet.
I found a post mentioning Wifi power saving mode and disabled it, and it fixed the issue for me. I’ll look and see if I can’t find it, and update here if it looks relevant to you.
Also, I would definitely try with your laptop wired instead of wireless if you can.
Git, GNU Stow, and a custom bash script.
I agree with you. Purism had this same problem at one point I believe - turns out that the Wordpress plugins that they used for their site came bundled with Google crap.
It’s possible this wasn’t an intentional choice by anyone at S76, but instead just spyware bundled with other components.
Both businesses should know to evaluate their dependencies for these sorts of things, but mistakes do happen. It’s good that concerned community members exist to call them out, even if they have no plans to change it.
Thanks! No luck though. Same results with the config this way vs. what I have above.
